Enhanced low macrobending sensitive Single Mode Fiber: BendBrightXS

The new BendBrightXS single mode fiber is optimized for enhanced low macrobending sensitivity compared to the regular BendBrightTM.

The Bend
BrightXS fully complies with the new ITU-T Recommendation G.657, both to class A (in all aspects compliant to G.652.D with the new improved low macrobending sensitivity) as well as to class B (with even further enhanced low macrobending sensitivity).

Apart from its ideal use in office installations, as patch cords and/or interconnection cables, the use of the BendBrightXS in Fiber-to-the-Home networks offers significant added value to the network installers. Bend radii in fiber guidance ports can be reduced as well as minimum bend radii in wall and corner mountings. As the fiber is very forgiving for installation errors, reduced demands for the skills of the installation engineers may further reduce the costs. Its enhanced macrobending loss characteristics further guarantees that the 1625nm window (L-band) will be available for future use in this bandwidth hungry environment.

Proprietary ColorLoc
k® coating process further enhances the performance, durability and reliability of the fiber, even in the harshest environments.

The BendBrightXS  fully complies with or exceeds the
ITU-T G.657.A/G.657.B, ITU-T G.652.B/G.652.D and the IEC 60793-2-50 type B.1.1/B.1.3.
