Apart from standard multimode fibers, DCOF also offers a premium for the
standard 50µm & 62.5µm range: HiCap. The fibers are particularly
suitable for data systems operating at a transmission speed of 1000 Mb/s
(Gigabit) Ethernet.
As Laser Diodes (LDs) are necessary for this application, the profile accuracy
in the central part of the core region is of crucial importance. Again, the PCVD
process is the key to success. All HiCap fibers are coated with DLPC9 coating.
